The Department of B.Com Corporate Secretaryship was commenced in the academic year 2000-01. In the initial stage, the course had nearly 30 students as its strength. Gradually, as years passed by, the strength was raised to 70 in each class and the total Department strength is 210.

KIBBUTZ
KIBBUTZ 6.0 2019-The Department of Corporate Secretaryship conducted an inter collegiate meet on the theme world of business. The department in the name of the company Crunch Creations limited, Invited the other colleges to come and participate in a company name and the event was conducted as a companies meet. Mrs.P.Meerabai Income tax department was invited as Chief Guest. 15 colleges participated in the business meet.The overall champion ship was won by New college.
CORPORATE CONCORD
Mr.M.L.SHYAM SUNDAR the chief guest of concord presented an interacting guest lecture with power point on the general topic “PASSION BECOMING PROFESSION” based on his life story and journey towards achieving company secretary post in a company.
ATTENDED SIGNING OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Our institution D.R.B.C.C.C.Hindu College has signed MOU with Institute of Company Secretaries of India on 21.06.2018. MOU was signed by Principal of Hindu college with Mrs.Chithra Deputy Director General of ICSI. The purpose of signing MOU is to educate the students of this institution about CA, CS, courses while pursuing their under graduation.
MOCK AGM(ANNUAL / GENERAL MEETING)
Held on 3.10.2018 Chief Guest Mr. Gopala Krishnan Raju, Charted accountant and registered insolvency professional, Chennai. The department named it self as crunch creations and performed the mock annual general meeting. The students of the department took various positions like CEO, MD, Managers and share holders and perform the meeting. Finally the Cheif Guest gave a motivation speech and congratulated the students for their creative effort.
CERTIFICATE COURSE
Held on 27.8.2018 to 31.8.2018 on Photoshop. It was a short term duration course of teaching software of Photoshop. The students actively enrolled the names for this course and gained knowledge about Photoshop. On the valedictory session certificates were distributed to all the Participants by the Principal and Director.
GUEST LECTURE ON INCOME INCOME TAX LAWS
A Guest Lecture on Income Tax Laws was delivered by Mr. Selvaraj Chief guest Retired chief commissioner of income tax in the month of September 2018. All the 3 years of department of corporate secretaryship participated in the Guest Lecture.
